Track Cycling Camp with Stephen Hill

Join us for a weekend long training camp at Hellyer Velodrome - March 7 - 9, 2008. Stephen Hill, a coach, and leading expert in Track based training will be with us for the entire weekend.

Power Training Camp Coach/Speaker

Stephen Hill will be with us for the entire weekend, providing a wealth of knowledge on track racing, weighlifting and training programs. To learn more about Stephen, visit this page.

This will be an intermediate/advanced camp for racers who have been riding track bikes for 1 year or more. the camp will emphasize advanced skills. it will also include gym workouts at a local gym and intense workouts.

3 day weekend format

Friday
8-9 a.m. Breakfast at a local restaurant
9:45 a.m. to 12:45 PM Morning ride at Hellyer Velodrome. How to warm up properly. Power exercises on the bike.
1pm- 2:30pm -Lunch
2:30- 5:30 PM. Afternoon ride at Hellyer Velodrome. On-the-bike power exercises. Form and technique.
6:00- 7:30- P.M. - Dinner and "Mental Toughness" by Stephen Hill
Dinner
Go Kart at www.lemanskarting.com (separate cost)

Saturday
8-9 a.m. Breakfast at a local restaurant
9:45 a.m. to 12:45 PM Gym - all Advanced/explosive forms of exercises designed to help you go faster on the track bike will be covered.
1pm- 2:30pm -Lunch
2:30- 5:30 PM. Afternoon ride at Hellyer Velodrome. Structuring an interval workout / General Fitness for Sprinters (and everyone else, too!)
6:00- 7:30- P.M. - Dinner and Guest Speaker

Sunday
8-9 a.m. Breakfast at a local restaurant
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 PM Morning ride at Hellyer. Fun and different ways to train. Motorpacing, Madison, and other fun pursuits.
Departure

A more detailed itinerary will be released to the riders before the camp.

You will need to arrive on the Thursday (March 8) afternoon/evening before your camp is to begin, unless you are local and can drive to the camp for Friday morning. So, please make arrangements.

We are only accepting 10 riders for this camp, so please register early!

A Camp Packet will be sent out two weeks before the camp, so that everyone will know how the camp is going to flow and all pertinent data, directions, etc.

Hampton Inn at San Jose is few miles away. Please email Robin if you are interested in rooming with someone else during the weekend.
